Broken Banjo focuses on conference/event photography, portraiture, headshots, and general imagery.
The name, "Broken Banjo Photography" comes from a passage in Pete Seeger's biography; when jumping out of a moving train, he broke his fall with his banjo. The banjo didn't fare well, and was one of only two items of value the troubadour had. The other item was a camera, which he pawned to buy another instrument. After two days playing his new instrument in bars and on the street, he made enough money to buy his camera back, and was on his feet again.
